The 3 Easiest Ways to Tune Your

Guitar

You can play all the right notes, but if your guitar is out of tune, boy oh boy, will it ever sound wrong!

In today’s mini lesson, we will look at three of the easiest ways to tune your guitar.

It’s important to keep in mind that it will take some time for your ears to develop so you can easily tune your guitar by ear.
So don’t expect to be able to tune your guitar by ear right off the bat.

Electronic Tuner

The quickest and easiest way to tune your instrument is to use an electronic tuner.  With an electronic tuner, you pick the
string and then tighten or loosen it until it falls within the appropriate zone on the tuner screen.  You just watch the
screen and tighten or loosen the string based on what it tells you to do.

Pitch Pipe

A second fairly easy way to tune your instrument is with a pitch pipe.  A pitch pipe will produce the sound of each open
string.  All you have to do is adjust each string until it matches the desired pitch.

Tune to This Audio Track

You can also tune your instrument to this audio track.  Simply tighten or loosen each string to match the sound of the
string on the audio track.
